PC School of Pharmacy 5K/Health Fair and Blood Drive

Many members of the pharmacy school envisioned a day in which we could serve the community with an event that promoted healthy living and activity. This event has become known as the March on Health Wellness Fair and 5K. On this day, we celebrate those individuals who take the first steps in training for a 5K race. We celebrate those who are willing to make a change in their current lifestyle in hopes of maintaining or restoring good-health. We want members of our community to take an active role in caring for their health and we stand with them to encourage this change.
Our 3rd Annual March on Health event will be held in Clinton on March 21, 2015. This event will involve a 5K race, run or walk, at Bailey Stadium-Presbyterian College. Shortly following the race, an extensive health fair focusing on health and wellness will be held at the YMCA- Clinton, from 10am-2pm. Here, trained pharmacy students will be available to provide FREE health screenings for everyone. There will also be educational sessions available from guest speakers and our trained pharmacists, as well as FREE healthy food options.
As part of this event, due to the desperate need for blood, we also plan to hold a blood drive. The Blood Connection bus can only come if we have a large enough number of participants. Please indicate via the Survey Monkey link below, if you would be willing to donate.

Facts to consider:

1 pint of blood can save up to 3 lives.
