Dressing Down During Finals

PSGA will be collecting cans for the United Ministries of Clinton during the week of Decmber 8 - 12.  We ask that you bring two cans per day that you would like to dress down.  Along with the boxes for the cans, there will be stickers and sheets at the front of the lecture halls for students to write their name, the date, and the number of cans contributed. Thank you in advance! Please remember this is on your honor!  

P3s: Although most of you will not be present, if you can find it in the goodness of your heart, the boxes will be in the lecture halls all this week as well!

There is a winter conference in combination with main campus January 30-February 1 in Black Mountain, NC.  The cost is $30/person which includes lodging, food, and a t-shirt.  Please contact Mennie Zoogley (mzoogley@presby.edu) for more information.

We are taking up donations for elder baskets through Broad Street Methodist.  If you would like to donate, they are accepting non-perishable canned goods, rice, dry beans, pasta, grits, packaged tuna and salmon, laundry detergent, dish washing liquid, bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, hand lotion, toothpaste, toothbrush, toilet paper, box of tissues, and paper towels. 

Donations are due by December 5th at noon.  We would really like get enough items to make a couple of baskets.  Thank you!

Broad Street Methodist Church (the church across the street from the pharmacy school) is hosting a pancake dinner as a study break on December 8th at 7pm.  Everyone is welcome!

Evaluation Completion for Dress Down Week: Final Tally

As of this morning, the evaluation completion rates for each class are as follows:

P1: 87%

P2: 77%

P3: 95%

·         Congratulations to the P1 and P3 classes who each achieved the required response rate of at least 85% and are therefore invited to dress down during the week of December 1^st through 5^th. You will still need to dress professionally for your lab periods/lab finals, but are welcome to dress casually for your classes next week otherwise. Do  make sure to maintain modesty and dress appropriately for ventures outside your home (i.e.; no pajamas).

This is not the end of evaluations for the semester.  All evaluations not yet completed will stay open and ready to receive your feedback through Friday December 12^th.  As you are completing any final evaluations, please still keep these notes in mind…

·         Do your best to make your comments count.  You can do this by making them professional, objective, descriptive (by providing examples), and specific to the course or instructor you are evaluating.

·         Don’t fill in comment blanks with not applicable or N/A, etc.  Just skip the box.

The Stimulant Abuse in College Students presentation will be held Tuesday, 12/2 at 11AM in Edmunds Hall on Main campus.  The event will be presented by Dr. Eagerton and directed towards undergraduates, but pharmacy students are welcome to attend as well.

We are having a pharmacy related service at Broad Street United Methodist Church on Monday, November 24th involving talking to others about stroke prevention.

Broad Street United Methodist Church (the church across the street from the pharmacy school) will be having a community thanksgiving meal on Thursday, November 27 at Noon.  If you will be in the area for Thanksgiving, they would love to have you!
