SSHP Announcements

Our next chapter meeting will be Monday, November 10, 2014 from 12 to 1 PM in room 104.  I am pleased to welcome Dr. Chris Bland as our guest speaker.  Dr. Bland is a critical care clinical pharmacy specialist who specializes in infectious disease pharmacotherapy in the U.S. Department of Defense at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia.  He also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice for both the University of Georgia and South Carolina Colleges of Pharmacy.  Dr. Bland will be traveling a considerable distance, and this will be his first visit to the PC School of Pharmacy, so attendance is encouraged so we can give him a hearty “Blue Hose” welcome.

SSHP will be participating in the national "Get Smart About Antibiotics Week" during the week of November 17-21. During this time, SSHP will host trivia questions pertaining to antibiotics. Trivia questions will be available for all students to answer on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. There will be an "Antibiotic Trivia" poster in front of the podium in both lecture halls which will have the daily trivia question. The Winner from Monday, Wednesday, and Friday will receive a Dress Down token and the student who participates the most during the week will win the PC Swag Bag! The PC Swag Bag consists of many great PCSP items that you don't already have! Start brushing up on your antibiotic knowledge!
